Original lighthouse was referred to as Red Bluff and it was situated in a position that it interfered with range firing operations. A rock and placque comemerates where it once stood. 

The present lighthouse has not been used since 1922.

Interesting Facts

Admiralty Head Light House Fort Casey Whidbey Island pictured in 1958. The first lighthouse was built in 1861, some distance away. A new lighthouse was built so it would not interfere with the firing operations. The present lighthouse was built in 1903.
